Taught by Jill A. Collins, MTI
9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. 6 Contact hours: $225.00

This course is designed for those wanting to incorporate a truly effective essential oil therapy massage into their practice. Originally developed by an essential oil company interested in selling product, this popular technique has been modified to incorporate and combine the experienced and professional techniques of the licensed massage therapist with theory of the application of the essential oils to the client, to affect a positive systemic reaction. Using 6 different essential oils and 1 essential oil blend, you will learn how each oil is designed to work in conjunction with each other as well as their benefits and contraindications. This is not a Young Living Oils sales course! This class teaches you how to use any therapeutic grade oil with safe therapist skill level technique. LIMIT: 12 students per class

Tuition includes detailed class notes along with all 7 full-sized oils to use in class (over $100.00 in oils retail price). You will have enough left over for several treatments that can be done in your practice immediately. Traditional western style Swedish massage is blended with the styling of Hawaiian Lomi Lomi for a deep relaxation massage technique. The student is taught flowing forearm techniques based on Lomi Lomi, but which can be added immediately into the massage routine they are already doing. This style is not meant to teach strictly a full body Hawaiian Lomi Lomi massage. Unlike traditional Swedish, however, this class teaches the principles of working both sides of the body at the same time, long movements spanning more than one joint/body part within the same stroke, draping variations to allow for these strokes, footwork beyond the horse and archer stance to apply the long strokes and the Lomi Lomi back stroke and it's variations. Hands-on experience along with demonstration is used to achieve the above objectives.
