History of the School
Past, present & future students join Jill & David for their
annual Winter Open House each December.
Having practiced massage therapy for several years, Jill and
her husband, David, loved their career so much, they decided
that they wanted to share their love of massage with new,
bright and enthusiastic prospective therapists. In July of
2004, they bought the massage school they graduated from years
before and moved it to Eureka Springs. Jill graduated first in
her class at Northwest AR School of Massage when it was located
in Fayetteville, AR, and both Jill and David continue to devote
numerous hours every year to continuing education.
In addition to basic Swedish massage, Jill and David have
studied and use such modalities as Creative Healing, Raindrop
Therapy, Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Enertropic Therapy. Jill has
had special training in massage for fibromyalgia clients and is
certified in both Healing Stone Massage and Daybreak Geriatric
Massage. David also received his training at the school while
it was in Fayetteville. He is also certified in Healing Stone
Massage and is best known by his clients for his love of
footwork, which led him to study for his certification in
reflexology.
Drawing from their advanced training they use their skill and
knowledge of massage to customize each session for their
clients and pass that ability along to their students. While
some massage therapy instructors prefer to simply focus just on
teaching, Jill and David both continue to work out of the spa
that they started in Eureka Springs, It’s All About
You...Massage Therapy. Both feel that staying in touch with the
everyday experiences of the working massage therapist helps
them to adequately prepare their students for the “real world”
upon graduation. In addition to teaching new students, Jill
also teaches several continuing education courses to licensed
therapists at the school.
